Montpelier Plantation- Relais and Chateaux

There are 16 large rooms and a suite in cottages scattered around the leisurely gardens. They are stylishly decorated, with an expanse of white wall which is offset by mahogany woodwork and the striking, colorful splash of a bright tropical flower or leaf. The upholstery is sleek and unfussy.

Each room has 2 double beds or a king bed (some are 4 posters with muslin hangings). The suite has a bedroom with a king bed and a separate living room in which there is a sofa bed. Some rooms have been air-conditioned, but at this elevation it is needed only for a few weeks each year. The breeze can be coaxed through the glass louvers most of the time.

There are no televisions in the rooms (in fact there is only one television on the property, downstairs beneath the dining terrace.) Each room has an iron and ironing board. In the bathroom you will find Gilchrist and Soames toiletries.

Annual Closure dates:

August 17^th to October 10^th. All rates are in US dollars.

Rates are subjected to 9% government tax and 11% service charge.

Minimum Stay:

A minimum stay of ten (10) nights at Montpelier is required for periods overlapping Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Dress Code:

Jacket and tie are not required and not often worn. Gentlemen wear long trousers in the evening. Style is smart casual. A light cardigan or shawl is advisable for winter dining.

All rates at the Montpelier feature a complimentary full cooked breakfast daily, afternoon tea with scones and cakes, complimentary use of Montpelier's own private beach, complimentary internet service, and tennis (including racquets and balls).

Plantation Room bathrooms feature Mahogany-style vanities, vessel sinks, tile flooring, a shower and tub with detachable handheld showerhead and luxurious Elemis amenities. Additional features include fresh daily fruit and flowers, nightly turndown service, in-room safe and hair dryer.

Villa Suite is a newly constructed cottage set discreetly on the fringe of the property. Decorated in a chic plantation style that blends easily with Montpelier's décor, the Villa Suite is ideal for guests seeking a more secluded experience. It features:

The master bedroom features one king bed, the second bedroom has one king or two double beds with Porthault linens. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom which includes luxurious Elemis amenities and a semi-outdoor shower overlooking breathtakingly beautiful Nevis Peak.
